Favorite Sign of Fall - Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #184

Welcome to a new week. It is one of my favorite weeks of the year. Late October means falling leaves and Halloween. This week at Fantabulous Cricut we are all about the Signs of Fall. Show us your fall themed projects
I started with some fun papers with great fall colors and a little burlap ribbon (a new favorite of mine)
I wanted the Cricut image to be simple for this card so I picked out this simple tree frame on the Cindy Loo cartridge. I love these frames and the layer so easy.  I placed the frame on a white backing at stamped a simple sentiment.

A Halloween Challenge

We are a little more than a week away from Halloween so this week Die Cuttin' Divas is all about this fun holiday.
For some reason a lot of my Halloween cards this year have featured a fun skeleton.  I got this one last year in the Silhouette Store and never ended up using it. I thought it would be fun to play with for this quick card.
I layered some of my Halloween papers (and totally figured out I have way to much Halloween paper) to create a simple background.  I cut the image and welded a circle over the image to create the inside tag. A few small gems and my burlap bow and I was all set.  I love Halloween so I send lots of cards. I plan on making a few more of this same card to send to some friends.

Hope you can join in the Halloween fun at Die Cuttin' Divas this week.

Crafting My Way to Disney - Cast Member Autograph Book

When you are less than 70 days away from a Disney vacation it is time to get crafting!! I have several things on my list that I am hoping to get finished on time for this trip including some special shirts, luggage tags, and a few autograph books for sure. I decided to start with the autograph books and have one finished already.
This autograph book is different from others.  This one is not for our favorite princess or hero. This autograph book is for the outstanding cast members that work at Disney Parks.  We had such wonderful stories of the amazing people who worked with us at our hotel, coordinated lines and took our amazing Photo Pass pictures that we wanted a way to remember and honor them.
I found the logo for a Disney name tag online and using the trace feature in Silhouette Studio I was able to create this badge to print and cut on my Cameo. The photo above shows all the separate pieces that went together to make this.
The next step was covering some chipboard pieces for the covers and cutting the paper for the pages of my book.I used a mix of craft paper and white for the pages, both work well with a black marker.
In the end, I decided to use some Mod Podge on the cover to make sure my design stayed on and give it a little shine.
After some trial runs to measure my holes I used my Cinch to punch the holes and bind my autograph book.  Because my husbands work as a Disney Vacation Planner many cast members he has talked to are trying to make sure they meet up with us so they can sign our book. Talk about fun memories to come.
One Disney project done many more to come. Thanks for visiting with me today.

Supplies:
- Silhouette Cameo trace, print and cut feature
- Cinch binding machine
- Mod Podge

Just Desserts

Got a sweet tooth? I know I do. If so than this week's challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas is just the thing for you. This week is all about dessert.
The first thing I had to do for this challenge was get inspired....so I went and baked a favorite dessert of mine - chocolate chip cookies. Perfect idea to get my creative juices flowing.
I decided I would make a tag to put on a small bags of treats and take them to a coworker who has been having a rough couple of weeks. I started with a tag from the Splish Splash Cricut cartridge and using my Gypsy stretched and created two layers
Next came the cookie. This cookie is from the Silhouette Store and has a cute face cut into it, but I decided to remove it and use a Peachy Keen face instead. A touch of pink cheeks made it just what i was looking for.
The final touch was the die cut tag and stamps - all form Pink By Design. I Hope you go get some more yummy inspiration from the rest of the team at Die Cuttin' Divas and join us in the fun as well. Thanks for visiting today.

EEEEEEEEKKKKKKK!!!!

Time to get ready for some Halloween Screams and this week's color challenge at Fantabulous Cricut is perfect for creating monsterly fun projects.  This week it is all about
Purple & Black
I decided to create a fun monster card to send out in honor of Halloween. I started by selecting a cute monster (yes monsters can & should be cute) from the Mini-Monsters Cricut Cartridge. I thought he looked great in purple especially with an added touch of Stickles and wobble eyes.
Once he was all ready I made a base for him to go on. I layered some black and purple and than after using a edger tool I popped on the pattern paper as well. A few brads and of course the "scream" and this little guy was ready to go off scaring.
Hope you will join us this week for the Purple & Black challenge at Fantabulous Cricut. You do not have to make a Halloween project, but aren't they just so fun? Make sure to stop over and see what the other members of the design team have created.

Down On the Farm

When my daughter was in Kindergarten the whole grade level performs in a play called Down on the Farm.  It was a smashing success and of course required an equally smashing scrapbook layout.
I went looking for the perfect barn cut and found it right where I expected on the Country Life Cricut cartridge. I just knew this would look great with the right papers.
Lucky for me my stash of random papers had some great designs including this distressed red paper, just right for my barn
I got everything cut out and layered right where I wanted it with no problems. The simple title was made for the layout.
Country Charm stamp set
The final touch were these fun animal sound stamps.  The stamps are on the Country Charm 2013 stamp set from Mark's Finest Papers and Stamps. They are our current challenge sponsor at Die Cuttin' Divas. I used the fun cow on my design team project this week.  I thought these were just the right touch on the grass outside my barn.

Have a wonderful week. Thanks for stopping by.

Supplies
- Country Life Cricut Cartridge - barn scene and title
- Country Charm 2013 stamps from Mark's Finest Papers & Stamps

How Now Brown Cow

Good day all. Welcome to a new challenge with Die Cuttin' Divas. This week we are playing with the color BROWN!!  Get out your fun brown papers, pens, ribbons and inks and play along.
We have been honored to be sponsored by Mark's Finest Papers & Stamps for the last several weeks and the DT was given the chance to play with some of the stamps they offer. I got this fun set of new Country Charm stamps.  I love love love this cute cow and had to play with him.
I made a simple card base with some added ribbon and hand drawn polka dots to match.
I stamped my cow in brown and colored him in with some colored pencils before cutting him out by hand and adding him on.
The final touch was the lettering. I used the font on The First Few Years to weld these words together inside and out.
I hope you get a chance to check out what the rest of the Design Team Die Cuttin' Divas has created this week and check out the sponsor as well.  They have a lot of great stamp selections.  Thanks for stopping by today.

A New Niece Welcomed

Welcome to the weekend.  I am trying to catch up on my Project Life spreads. I have a stack of photos all in the places I want them and now I go through and add the cards and embellishments as time allows. This one was a special one as it involves my new niece and keeps with my baby theme form this week.
The 5th & Frolic core set from Project Life was just perfect for this page and when you add in the fun chipboard pieces from Dear Lizzy that match...well just perfect.
I added this cute chipboard heart that matched the 3x4 card and than cut out her name using the font Missed Your Exit and my Cameo.
A simple spread completed and ready to go. Hope to share more very soon. Have a wonderful weekend.

Elephants on Parade - Part 2 Gift Bag

I'm all about the elephants this week.  That is what happens when you have a baby shower to attend and know that the cute nursery of the coming baby girl will have all sorts of safari animals in it.
I shared my card from the shower earlier this week, but added a small custom badge to the front of a gift bag to tie it all together. Again this adorable elephant from the Holiday Cakes cartridge is just too perfect for baby gifts.
I used some different polka dot paper for the bag so it would match the pattern on the bag I already had in my stash and with some simple embossing it turned out just right. I also love how it looks popped up with this foam squares.
Thanks for visiting my little parade of elephants this week. Have a wonderful day.

- Holiday Cakes Cricut Cartridge - elephant

Elephants on Parade - Part 1 Card

If you are looking for the 2 Creative Chicks Challenge
please scroll down.

Welcome to a new Tuesday and a new month. The first Tuesday of the month means a new sketch challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas. I had a baby shower card to make and found the sketch just right for this cute card.
Georgiana from Carson's Creations always creates a fun sketch to work with and this one is no different.
I wanted to have soft pinks and gray colors so I went to my paper collection and selected a few papers with simple patterns along with some solids to create this card.  The cute elephant is from the Holiday cakes cartridge. That cart just has some fun things on it.
On the inside I added a simple stamp form Pink BY Design to finish it off.
Hope you will join us in our sketch challenge this week. Please stop over at Die Cuttin' Divas and see the other awesome projects the DT made this week.  Such different ideas to inspire you I promise.

I added some embossing to my moon and a fun stamp to the headstone. One the inside I used the bats that  come with the skeleton file and added a simple Pink By Design stamp as well.
